I can't imagine a better way to spend a cold winter's day than staying warm inside for a cozy in-home newborn session. The whole home was beautiful, but the nursery was just so charming with such cute and thoughtful touches.

Of course I always get questions about what to wear for your in-home session. When in doubt, dress comfy! Soft neutral tones are also a safe bet. Of course you can dress the baby in whatever bright and happy colors you'd like. In this case, they just picked colors that would coordinate well with the nursery. and it all photographed beautifully.

This bright spot in their dining room filled with beautiful plants made for a great place for photos!

When I come to your home for a session, the first thing I'm going to do is look around and find the spots with the best quality light. While I can, and often do bring supplemental lighting, for really soft and natural looking photos, the available light is typically best.

I always try to capture all the little details of the baby's room - so much love and thought goes into this. I loved the warm soft but colorful palette they chose with the cute animals and jungle theme.

The sweetest pups wanted to join in on the fun!

Little guy was such a good sport but definitely tuckered out a bit by the end of the session. This made for sucha. beautiful and natural moment of mama and baby napping right in the doorway of the nursery (where the light was so pretty!)

Doesn't get much cuter than a little baby yawn!

Well the gang's all here now! Trying to get a photo with all the "kids" is no small feat! Babies and dogs have a way of making sure we don't take things too seriously – and I love that they wanted to include all their furbabies in the photos.
