Spring Engagement Session in German Village, Columbus Ohio

There's something about spring that's a little extra special - especially in a neighborhood that is as charming and iconic as Ohio's own German Village just south of downtown Columbus. This was the perfect place for a session with Natalie and Matt, starting with their adorable light-filled home tucked right along the brick streets of this favored historic neighborhood.

I knew it was going to be a great session when we kicked things off in their cozy kitchen by popping a bottle of bubbly!

I loved everything about this session - the ease and comfort of being in their home, the gorgeous evening sunset light, and walking around their neighborhood to capture the character and this exciting stage of their relationship. Playfulness is always a great idea!

No doubt their wedding day is going to be fun! I'm all about this flirty and playful energy - makes for some super cute moments, all while capturing this place that's special to them.

I get asked all the time for location suggestions, particularly indoor options in case of bad weather, and home sessions are almost always a great idea!

After some time at their home, they changed clothes and we headed out to catch some sunset vibes around the neighborhood. The trees were in bloom and it was just a perfect evening.

A final quick change back home, then off to an old favorite local spot that held some sentimental value to Natalie's family - the restaurant Barcelona.

This is definitely one of my personal favorite restaurants in town. While the whole place is cool, their garden in the back is realy the scene stealer in my opinion.

We were lucky to snag a table in the garden and capture some moments in this special place. Definitely a favorite spot for many in the warm months.

This is realky about as charming as it gets and the was perfect place to wrap up their session. I just loved my time with this couple and can't wait for their upcoming wedding!
