Starting the Weekend at the Werner House in Columbus, Ohio
Kelly and Kevin’s wedding weekend kicked off at the historic Werner House in Columbus, where they hosted an intimate, outdoor rehearsal dinner. With string lights, champagne toasts, and DIY details crafted by the bride herself, including paper goods, wax seals, and floral elements, the evening set the tone for a weekend filled with infectious joy and immeasurable love.

The Werner House also served as the backdrop for the bride and bridesmaids as they got ready the next day. The girls filled the home with excitement, while Kevin and the groomsmen kept it laid-back elsewhere. The anticipation, the laughter, and the stunning architecture made every moment shine.

Walking Down the Aisle in a Stunning Jenny Yoo
Kelly walked down the aisle at St. Mary Catholic Church in German Village, wearing a breathtaking silk crepe gown by Jenny Yoo. The dress featured clean lines, an elegant silhouette, and paired effortlessly with her soft bouquet of blush and ivory florals. To contrast, Kevin gazed at his bride in a duo-toned black and navy suit from The Black Tux and made complete with a classic bowtie.
The vows, rings, and first kiss brought tears of joy to people's eyes but when walking down the aisle as husband and wife, friends and family roared in applause as Kevin dipped his wife for a big, celebratory kiss.

After the ceremony, we took full advantage of the nearby German Village charm, weaving through cobblestone streets and soft brick backdrops for portraits. The bridal party (looking extra sleek in black!) brought energy to every frame. Naturally, our last stop was along the Scioto Mile to capture the Columbus skyline glowing in the background.

Celebrating the Newlyweds at High Line Car House
The reception at High Line Car House was everything you’d want in a downtown Columbus wedding: exposed brick, hanging lights, and a space that transitions seamlessly from intimate to energetic. Sunshine was pouring in and champagne flowing as guests entered the venue. It set the tone for a relaxed and vibrant celebration which describes the couple perfectly.
Something I was so eager for was the cocktail hour. Just weeks before hand High Line debuted their newly renovated Veranda space and it was my turn to finally see it in person. It was privately gated and romantically strung with lights, making it an ideal spot for the entire event.
Later in the night, Kelly changed into a stunning Monique Lhuillier mini dress, with tiered ruffled shoulders and a flirty V-neck. Kevin was wowed and fell in love all over again while loved ones raved over the second look. It was a fun transition as DJ Jomar went full-on party mode and kept the dance floor going all night long.
I absolutely loved everything about Kelly and Kevin’s day. From the dreamy florals to contagious smiles and dancing, they are my kind of people. The kind of couple who makes you feel like part of the celebration, not just documenting it. Thoughtful, joyful, and completely in love… so honored to have witnessed it all!

Planning Your Own High Line Car House Wedding?
High Line Car House is a one of my favorite Columbu, Ohio venues for couples looking to blend historic charm with modern, trending details. Kelly and Kevin’s day was equal parts heartfelt and high-style, a reminder that when great planning meets great people (and even better dance moves), the memories are magical.
