What a gorgeous late summer day it was for Peyton and Danny's long awaited wedding St. Catherine of Siena Church and the new downtown venue, The Fives Columbus. This wedding was not only full of the prettiest details, but also the sweetest people!
This dress was an absolute stunner and so perfect on Peyton! Modern, feminine, romantic and fun! Well in my opinion, any dress with tulle is fun and just asking for a twirl!

I love capturing the bride with her family and bridesmaids when she is getting ready for the big day. It's just a nice opportunity to capture some beautiful candids and heartfelt moments.

FUN FACT: I had the honor of photographing another wedding for this sweet family as well! Peyton's sister, Taylor got married a few years ago at the Ohio Statehouse so it was so much fun seeing everyone again for another family wedding! Taylor's wedding is also featured on my blog here:

I've photographed many "first looks" with fathers and daughters and bridesmaids, but I especially love this moment between the bride and her grandmother.

Peyton is as genuine, sweet and thoughtful as one can be. I just love being able to capture that, not only in the more formal portraits, but these small in-between moments throughout the day.
Time to see her besties! Ta daaaa! This is always a fun moment to capture.

Then we just stepped outside on the back porch for a few quick group portraits before heading to the church for the ceremony. Now for the first look with the bride and her very proud and happy dad!

Meanwhile the groom is hanging out with his family and groomsmen at his home. I always do my best to capture some nice candids and portraits of the parents and grandparents throughout the day.

Isn't this just the sweetest photo of his parents? They look so genuinely happy and excited about the day!

Off to St. Catherine's to get hitched! Cheers!

St. Catherine's is one of my favorite churches to photograph. The way the light pours through the large stained glass windows is just stunning – and definitely creates a wedding mood!

The bride's parents are just the sweetest! I was able to capture a moment like this at Taylor and Clayton's wedding a few years ago as well. I love finding photographs like this of my own parents too!
Da dum dum dum - here comes the bride! And she couldn't be happier! Look at those smiles and that genuine joy! It took a lot to get to this day, and it's finally here!

I just love these glances between the bride and her dad as they walk down the aisle!

WE DID IT! Next stop, forever!
The light and subtle movement is this shot just feels ethereal and I love it so much!

After a few formal family photos at the church, the bridal party was off for a little jaunt around downtown before heading to The Fives.

Now that is a good looking wedding crew right there!

Time to join guests for cocktail hour on the rooftop terrace overlooking the city!

Now for the big room reveal to the bride and groom! I can only imagine that this is every wedding planner's favorite part! All the work and planning that goes into this day and then to see the faces of the couple light up with joy when they see it!

I loved everything about their style and theme for the decor. Originally planned for the Columbus Zoo, this safari chic theme was so cute and played out beautifully in this venue. It was cute, fun but still elegant.

These place card holders are the cutest! The little penguin with it's baby was my favorite!

The Finer Things Event Planning and Dalay Ket did such an amazing job.

These florals were incredible! I really loved how the palm leaves give it such a unique vibe.

Not a single detail was overlooked. This circular bar is so cool! I think this may even been a mainstay at the venue.

Meanwhile the guests were upstairs on the terrace for cocktail hour. This venue offers so many cool features and really has a cool set up. The open air vibe is probably my favorite.
Now for a few moments to themselves to take in the sunset!

Hello, Columbus! Now that is a view!

Ok, well now it's time to get the party started! Peyton and Danny's alma maters were represented well by this fun bridal party crew!

Now for the main event! Please give a warm welcome to Mr. and Mrs. Miller!

I love this full shot of the room! The garage doors opening directly to the terrace where the band was set up is such a cool feature of this unique venue overlooking downtown Columbus.

Reliving those first date vibes on your wedding day is magic!

They had the best first dance to the song "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional and it couldn't have been more perfect. I had forgotten about this song but it's been in my head ever since!
"I watch you spin around in your highest heels. You are the best one, of the best ones. We all look like we feel. You have stolen my...you have stolen my heart"

I had such a close relationship with my dad, so watching the father daughter dance always hits me in the feels.

After sharing a fun dance with her dad, she took a moment with her grandfather. It was so sweet!

And last but not least I have to give a little shout out to The Conspiracy Band from Sutton Entertainment. They are always coming in HOT with awesome energy and talent!

Thank you again to Peyton and Danny for allowing me to capture this special time in your lives – from your engagement session to the wedding! Though it was quite the journey, it turned out to be such a beautiful and heartfelt day.
