It was a day that would make all of your fall wedding dreams come true! Starting with the couple, to the perfect weather, to the gorgeous sunset, and drumroll please…PUPPIES. Yes, the night ended with donuts and puppies. Read on!
The day started at the stunning new AC Marriott Hotel at Bridge Park in Dublin, Ohio. This whole area has so much to offer and was such a convenient place to stay since their ceremony was at St. Brigid of Kildare and their reception was nearby in Powell at a private residence.
Such beautiful calligraphy on the invitations!
The bride and groom exchanged letters and gifts early on in the day. Candid expressions are always fun to capture – especially from family and friends as well.
Ok, the dress is on! Things are about to get real so let’s get this party started!
Have you ever seen a happier, more glowing bride?
The light was so beautiful in the lobby of the hotel, I had to capture a few portraits of Devin in her stunning Hayley Paige gown here before we hopped on the bus on our way to the church.
And I just love finding light in unexpected places. This corridor was otherwise pretty dark, but with just the right angel, it was beautiful!
I am so in love with this gown, and it’s so perfect on Devin. The delicate beaded straps, sequined floral embroidery and the multi-tiered tulle skirt – so stunning!
The groom looking dapper and ready to see his bride. And the ladies head off to St. Brigid’s to get married!
Ok so this next photo might need a little context. That’s me reaching out to hug Rachel, a previous bride who I had the pleasure of photographing just a few years ago on her wedding day, and then again this fall for family portraits. If it wasn’t obvious, I get REALLY excited to see my clients! And that’s my husband standing there smiling next to me. Always my biggest fan!
It’s almost go-time! I love the expression on the best man’s face looking back at Steve. I gotta say, this was a really fun group to be around and photograph all day! And Devin and her Mom holding hands just moments before they head down the aisle is so sweet.
St. Brigid of Kildare Church is such a gorgeous place with a lot of stained glass and interesting light throughout.
Those first “just married” moments are always so much fun to capture! The joyful glow and rush of excitement just feels so authentic and true to their personalities.
The lobby just inside the main entrance of the church is filled with beautiful natural light and is a great alternative to the altar steps of the sanctuary for some of your more formal family or bridal party group photographs.
One quick stop to the Country Club At Muirfield Village for some photos before we head over to the main event at the barn! We were so lucky with this nice afternoon light.
This bouquet created by Madison House Designs was so pretty! I love the bold pops of fuchsia and burgundy mixed into the otherwise soft color palette.
Portraits are fun, but it’s those in-between moments of genuine laughter that I love the most. They are just the cutest!
This hill and perfect blue sky was just begging for a group photo.
Have you ever seen a more perfect setting for a fall wedding? This barn was a combination of some custom new construction and salvaged/reclaimed materials from an historic barn.
I am always a sucker for letterpressed anything. The designer, Lindsey Conkel of Sugarloaf Letterpress had the wedding venues sketched and used a combination of blind embossing a delicate floral motif and the type and illustrations in dark green ink. In printing, blind just means embossing a design without any ink so you only get the texture pressed into the paper. This is a beautiful and subtle way to incorporate another design element. Next, let’s talk about this bar and lounge area – the CUTEST! I love the addition of the draperies and light fixtures covered in greenery. The team at Aisle & Co. did a phenomenal job with everything.
Couples, if you are lucky enough to have a gorgeous sunset on your wedding day, PLEASE do yourselves a favor like these two did and allow a little time to step away together for some photos. I know that sometimes it doesn’t always seem like it fits into your schedule perfectly, but we’ll make it work and it will be so worth it! Plus, it doubles as some calm private time together amid a really busy day that seems to move at warp speed.
So in all of the years I have been shooting weddings, there is always a first for everything. This plane with personalized message to the newlyweds was a surprise gift from one of the groomsmen. What a FUN and cool idea! It read “Savor every drop. Love every moment.” Sounds like great advice to me! And what a gorgeous sky backdrop!
Time to really turn this party up! Guests moved into the barn for introductions and in came the bridal party! Such a fun group!
Is there anything cuter than a soft puppy belly! This looks like a pretty perfect ending to an already perfect day!
