Liz and Craig got married in October at one of my favorite venues in Columbus – the Bluestone. It’s such a perfect location right on Broad Street just a few blocks east of the heart of downtown. They were such a wonderful and easy going couple to be around and I wanted to share just a few of my favorites from their big day.
This bridal party was really fun to work with!
I loved the color palette for the bridesmaid’s dresses that ranged from deep purples, fuchsia, burgundy and lavender.
You really can’t go wrong with classic black tuxedos.
One of the things I remember about this wedding day was that it was really windy! It made for some really fun and playful moments with the bridesmaids. Sometimes you just gotta roll with it!
And can we just pause for a minute to gush over this gorgeous backless lace fit and flare dress? It was the “Giselle” by Watters and Watters WToo line of bridal gowns and was perfection on Liz.
Nothing makes a bride glow more on her wedding day than a genuine smile though!
Classic and romantic bridal perfection.
I loved this shot on the steps inside of the Bluestone and can’t seem to resist incorporating a reflection when the opportunity presents itself.
This veil was so beautiful. The bride’s mother-in-law sewed in the vintage lace detail by hand! So much time must have gone into this thoughtful gift.
Although the bride and groom chose to do a “first look” before the ceremony, it certainly didn’t seem to take away from the specialness when it came time for the bride to walk down the aisle during the ceremony.
A bride beaming with happiness and excitement is always beautiful!
The lights in the background are provided by the venue and create a nice bit of ambiance and visual interest.
I also love being able to shoot from the balcony through the little twinkling lights!
Gotta love a ceremony with some humor incorporated. One of the passages read during the ceremony was comparing how love is like owning a dog – I loved it!
Such a grand and romantic venue for both a ceremony and reception.
There are few event venues in Columbus, Ohio that rival the Bluestone in creating such a romantic vibe.
Newly wedded bliss and a sunset – a perfect combo!
I love this huge wall of stained glass in the cocktail hour room on the second floor of the venue.
The band was fantastic and with the help of the bride, really got the guests moving!
Everyone had such a great time and definitely wasn’t afraid to let loose and get a little goofy!
Cheers to your awesome wedding day and continued love for an even better marriage! Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your special celebration.
