What a perfect fall day it was for Emily and Dan to finally have the wedding of their dreams at The Bluestone in downtown Columbus! It was a brisk early November day and the leaves were still full of gorgeous fall color.
It was such a laid back day as far as weddings go, and everyone was just full of joy for this sweet couple.
The early part of the day when the bride and groom is getting ready is such a great time to capture some sweet moments. I love this image of the bride’s grandmother quietly watching as she prepared for the big day.
Meanwhile, the groom happily waits to see his beautiful bride outside the beautiful and iconic doors of the Bluestone for their first look.
I love a little wind as it gives a little pop of drama and romance for portraits.
There are so many little pockets of interesting light throughout the Bluestone. The stairwells in particular are among my favorites.
After some time with the bride and groom waling around the Bluestone, we met up with the rest of the wedding party on the trolley and headed to the nearby Topiary Park for a little fun and some group portraits.
I don’t think we could have asked for a better fall backdrop! The ornate black iron fence that surrounds the park is perfect for photos as well.
Finally time to head back to the Bluestone for the ceremony. The sun had started to set, and the room was just so dreamy and romantic between all the candles on the stairs at the front of the ceremony space and the twinkling lights.
Vessel Floral and Event Design really created such a unique vibe for the space that felt romantic with a modern edge.
Time for the ceremony and the moms were the first to walk down the aisle, followed by the ring security.
Despite the bride and groom having a first look and spending a few hours prior to the ceremony hanging out and doing photos, there seemed to be no shortage of sweet emotions as Emily walked down the aisle.
Could they possibly look any happier? I love seeing a bit of laughter throughout the ceremony. Despite the room full of guests, it felt really intimate.
Congrats to the newlyweds! Time to pop the champagne!
One of my favorite moments from the reception. I love capturing the little glances between the couple!
After stepping out with the wedding party and some family for a little sparkler exit, the newlyweds danced the night away to the Bluewater Kings Band with their guests.
