I’ve been so excited to share wedding photos from this gorgeous and heartfelt day last spring at one of my favorite modern venues in Columbus, The Vue. It’s a really unique industrial space right in the middle of the Brewery District which is just south of the heart of downtown Columbus. With it’s cool industrial vibe filled with lots of plants and modern decor, as well as it’s really convenient location, it’s no wonder why this is becoming one of the most popular event spaces in the downtown Columbus area.
Katie and Sam rented a home in nearby German Village through AirBnB for the bride and bridesmaids to hang out and get ready, while the guys prepped for the day at a friend’s house.
Can’t you just feel her genuine joy looking at these photos? What a gem she is! There are few things I enjoy more about my job than getting to witness and photograph people having the best time on their wedding days with all of their loved ones.
The bride’s mother-in-law and sisters-in-law came to share in the excitement. Such a FUN crew all around!
I love these casual and candid portraits of the groom, Sam, while he was hanging out waiting to see his bride-to-be! The large glass garage doors at The Vue allow for beautiful soft natural light even on a cloudy and rainy day. There are a few other nice places to create portraits, should you end up with less than stellar weather.
Here she is again, just beaming with happiness and excitement to see Sam!
Come ON – could they be any cuter? Well yes, yes they can. Just keep scrolling to see more photos from the sweetest first look!
I have to take a moment to give a huge kudos to Old Slate Farm who did a PHENOMENAL job with the flowers and overall decor. They have such a beautiful aesthetic and I loved the way they worked with this color palette using the soft grays and white ceramic candlesticks mixed in with the touches of mercury glass votives. More gorgeous details below!
I LOVE this gorgeous ivy wall just outside of The Vue. It makes for such a great backdrop for photos and conveniently ties into the aesthetic inside the space.
You gotta love hanging out with such a fun group of people all day! Great people really do make all the positive difference in anything!
Just the BEST DAY EVER!
Although thunderstorms came through during the middle of the day, we ended up with some beautiful sunset light just in time for a few more quick relaxed portraits during cocktail hour.
I’m pretty sure that this image sums up this couple pretty well! I just love seeing this on your wedding day!
These entrances were a pretty good indication of the antics and laughter in store for the night. What a FUN group of family and friends!
The bride and groom coming in strong with the finger guns!
Call me old-fashioned, but the father-daughter dance gets me every time.
