It was an absolutely perfect warm summer night for Holly and Billy as we celebrated their engagement with a fun portrait session! Scroll through to see the dreamy light and color we had – oh so pretty!
We started off the session at Innis Woods in Westerville. This is really such a beautiful park with acres of gardens and walking paths. It is definitely a popular place for portraits, and for good reason! There are all the usual spots of course, but also some slightly hidden gems as well.
I’m quite certain however, that wherever we would have gone we would have had a blast creating some fun, playful, and romantic images. Just look at these cuties!
I just love Holly’s dresses! Both of them were from one of my favorite boutiques in the Short North called Jolie Occasions https://jolieoccasions.com. They always have such fun pieces.
After spending some time at Innis Wood in Westerville, they did a quick wardrobe change and we met up at another one of my favorite outdoor locations in the area to catch the sunset by the water. I just love Hoover Dam – and there are so many cool different places to shoot here that can give you vastly different vibes.
We certainly could not have asked for a better night! I had only been down at this spot near sunset one other time – but this one took the cake!
The only challenge was that the water was pretty high this time so we had to tread carefully. So I had them dodging mud climbing over tree trunks. Billy just did the gentlemanly thing and carried Holly – and it sure made for a cute photo!
Well this sunset certainly was the perfect ending to a perfect shoot! Thank you Holly and Billy for choosing me to be your photographer. I cannot wait for your winter wedding at the Highline Car House next year!
