Some of my favorite types of portrait sessions to do as a Columbus, Ohio phototographer are for expectant couples, and capturing the start of motherhood. This is such a special and unique time for couples as they prepare to welcome their child..

It's a celebration of the couple's relationship and marks an incredible milestone in the story of their lives. There is something so sweet about being able to capture the joyful anticipation of what is to come for both parents, and the miraculous and absolutely beautiful feat that is motherhood.

When you book a maternity session with me, I take a lot of things in consideration when planning the shoot but first and foremost is your comfort. Most people come to me with some sort of vision or preferred aesthetic in their minds, so I do my best to create an experience that allows for that in the most enjoyable way possible.

This couple's maternity session in Columbus, Ohio was scheduled in late fall, a bit later than when many people would consider the peak fall season for the colorful foliage. While I LOVE color, I might prefer this part of the season even more however as paired with sunset the landscape lends a bit of an ethereal quality to the photos.

I just love capturing a woman's beauty and strength, and Sarah made it look effortless.
