Finally getting around to adding some much overdue posts of some beautiful wedding. Rachel and Jerod had both their wedding ceremony and reception at the gorgeous and classic Athletic Club of Columbus located in downtown. I love this venue for so many reasons. The first reason being that the people who work there are so fantastic to work with – I really feel like you can’t go wrong with this place. Secondly, the location of this venue is perfect as it’s close to so many great locations to shoot fun portraits. And if you happen to be rained in on your wedding day, the Athletic Club in itself has more than a few great spots to create some beautiful portraits.
The bride Rachel put so much care into the planning and every detail of their 1920’s Era Gatsby style inspired wedding. Rachel’s bridal up-do was absolutely perfect!
Prema Designs did a beautiful job with all of the florals and decor. I love the subtle and consistent touch of the feathers, pearls and sparkles throughout everything. And the flower girl was so cute!
So one of my favorite parts of any wedding is the first look for the bride and groom. I just love getting to capture the raw and real emotions! Look at that bride and groom!
After the first look, we headed across the street over to the Ohio Statehouse for some portraits.
My favorite part about this bridal gown was the stunning low back! It was so perfect on Rachel.
The bridesmaids wore elegant floor length sparkly champagne sheath gowns. Such a stunning group of ladies!
So excited to seal the deal and make it official! The ballroom of the Athletic Club makes for a romantic and classic setting for a wedding ceremony.
I loved this seemingly simple wide angle shot – just being able to feel the full environment of the moment and so many different faces of their guests.
And I’m always a sucker for the parent dances – especially the father daughter dance, maybe because I am so close with my own dad.
Congrats again Rachel and Jerod!
