Wow – what a fun day! Morgan and Danny lucked out with the most beautiful day for a fall wedding! The setting could not have been more perfect for an outdoor ceremony. If rich fall colors give you all the cozy vibes, keep scrolling to see ALL the stunning details and the dreamiest fall backdrops!
If you love the idea of a fall wedding but don’t really love the pumpkin spice and hay bales aesthetic, a classic burgundy mixed with jewel tones and a touch soft pale pinks and white make for such a timeless and elegant palette. Finished off with touches of gold, and you have a winner!
The day began at the bride’s family home. This spread of snacks and champagne started the day off right – and what a beautiful space!
Meanwhile Danny and his groomsmen were at the Hilton at Easton getting ready to go.
Such a fun moment of Morgan with her bridesmaids and her parents shortly before she and Danny have a “first look” moment together.
The trolley has arrived and that’s the groom getting ready to see his gorgeous bride!
Quite possibly THE best reactions I could hope for! How can you possibly keep from smiling when looking at these images? They are the cutest and just really appreciate their energy and obvious love for one another!
Here comes the cheering section! It’s so sweet to see how much their friends and family really feel the joy for them. It was such a fun group!
The following photo tells you just about everything you’d need to know about Morgan and Danny and their feelings about this day and getting to share their lives together.
Additionally, I’ve been trying to incorporate a little backstory about the couples I feature here on the blog. I always love hearing about them so thought I’d ask them to share some thoughts in their own words:
How we met
Our story started as many modern romances do – on a dating app! We both swiped right and started our first conversations were spent laughing about our shared love for “Home Alone” and Bruce Springsteen.. We also quickly learned they had many mutual friends, so the commonality we both found in each other was familiar and comforting.
A perfect date together
We love to explore around our German Village neighborhood on dates and enjoy the outdoor patios. Danny is also an excellent chef so he loves to try new things and often spoils me with amazing recipes!
Your favorite thing about marriage
While not much has changed in our day-to-day life, the best thing is knowing that we have each other to enjoy and celebrate life’s highs and help each other get through any lows. We laugh constantly together and just genuinely get a kick out of each other!
The proposal
Danny took me to our favorite wine bar on a gorgeous summer night and when we came home I saw our deck was set up with flowers, steak dinners, and champagne and knew something was up. He led me outside, got on one knee, and had the sweetest proposal. His best friend, Nate had helped with the set up while we were getting drinks before and was on the roof taking pictures of the whole thing. It was intimate and special – we FaceTimed family and friends afterward and continued the celebrations the next day!
We made one pitstop on the way to Jefferson Country Club for the wedding, and it could not have been more perfect. This spot was the dreamiest of dreamy fall settings. It was actually the (very) long driveway of a family friend nearby.
One of my favorite shots from this spot. We were finishing up and Morgan and Danny were just about to hop back on the trolley and then the headlights came on and thought it made for such a cute photo!
Now it’s finally off to Jefferson Country club to get hitched! I just loved all of the flowers and decor, especially for an outdoor fall wedding!
This arbor at the ceremony space was so elegant and fit the vibe so well.
They ordered a guest signature book with their wedding collection and it turned out so great! I really enjoy designing these for my couples when given the opportunity. They make such a perfect memory keepsake from the wedding day in addition to being such a nice way to display all your favorite images from your engagement session.
I think it’s safe to say that doing a “first look” didn’t take any of the emotion away from this walk down the aisle! I love not only the groom’s expression, but everyone else’s too.
So I had to share this photo of the incredible planner, Ashley Stephan of Ashley Stephan Weddings. This photo just sums up the 2020 wedding season. I love that you can still see her smiling face behind her sparkling sequin mask, despite all the challenges (and constant moving targets!) that weddings and events in 2020 were to plan!
I really love when the couple has an opportunity to see the reception space first before all their guests. Often, so much time and planning goes into the details and decor so it’s such a nice way for them to experience it. I can imagine this must be extra special for the event planner too! Getting to see your clients THIS happy is the best feeling!
Now that is a happy bride! Rocking a Vera Wang stunner with a glass of bubbly in your hand and getting ready to party with your friends!
The florals were down by the incredible team from BearRoots Floral. They seem to knock it out of the park every single time and this was no exception. Loved these blankets with personalized wrapping that said “to have and to hold, in case you get cold”. Such a thoughtful touch for a chilly outdoor fall wedding.
Such a beautiful patio that was just perfect for cocktail hour. And of course, cafe string lights make everything feel a little more magical! As the sun started to set I made sure to capture a few images of Morgan and Danny taking in the scene and enjoying a few quiet moments.
You definitely can’t go wrong with champagne place cards! I love this idea so much – so cute and classy!
Well I think its safe to say that by now they are more than ready to make their grand entrance to the party! And I just love how much fun they have together!
Kicking off the reception with some toasts from their nearest and dearest – and not without more laughs of course.
I just loved photographing the pure joy on their faces all day long! Their smiles and energy are contagious and definitely set the tone for the whole day.
Morgan surprised Danny with a Cleveland Browns groom’s cake. I think it’s safe to say he was excited!
I say this every time, but the parent dances always get me. I love capturing these moments.
What a day! Congrats again to Danny and Morgan and a huge THANK YOU for trusting me with capturing your very special (and perfect) day!
